My name is Arthur Scott.

I am seeking an Internship / Practicum experience here in Orange County.   I am completing my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Walden University.

Based on my life experience and education, I bring the following skill sets;

-Skilled in working with Multi-Cultural families and individuals.   Skilled in parent / child interactions.   Success oriented.

-Extremely skilled in working with children ages 4+; able to discern core issues dealing with emotions, feelings, learning disabilities including AD, ADHD, Autism, Asperger's Disease.   
  
-Eldest of five children; 4 boys, one girl.  Experienced in working with families with 1- 7 siblings.

-Course work includes Couples and Family Therapy, Substance Abuse, Lifespan Development, Group Counseling, Prevention & Consultation, Research & Evaluation,
Diagnosis & Assessment, Career Counselling, Multicultural Counseling, Counseling & Theories, Techniques of Counseling, Ethics & Legal Issues, Substance Abuse.

-Able to effectively communicate with all types of children and adults; able to establish what true learning disabilities exists and assist individuals towards meeting goals and deadlines.   Task oriented.

-Very open to learning new information, especially in the Mental Health Counseling area.   

-Intuitive, vibrant individual who enjoys helping others.  Team oriented.

I need to  work under supervision and the supervisor must be present at all times. 
This is a requirement of CACREP which my university adheres to (Walden University).
